Statement of Capability

Executive Summary


Faircloth McNair & Associates was formed in October 2022. 


Prior to this, Doug was Managing Director of a consulting practice working across the community services sector; Jodie was a senior consultant with the same practice. 


In establishing Faircloth McNair & Associates, Jodie and Doug have distilled close to 40 years of combined consulting practice and a commitment to supporting the sector to deliver responses that improve client outcomes while also providing governments and funders with evidence to develop and implement policy to support sustained improvement in client, family and societal outcomes. 


The range of Faircloth McNair & Associates’ project experience is broad, and encompasses the full service planning and delivery life cycle, as depicted in the diagram opposite.

    For example, Dr Peter Brann (clinical psychologist and academic) has worked with Doug and Jodie on a number of projects, including evaluation of Therapeutic Residential Care Pilot Programs, NSW Therapeutic Residential Care System Development and Foley House Evaluation.


    Similarly, Dallas Terlich (child protection legal practitioner) has collaborated with Jodie and Doug on the Review of Placement Prevention and Family Reunification Services for Aboriginal Children and their families and led First Nations consultations for the Age and Dementia Friendly East Pilbara Strategy.
